I would ask that you take me off the blacklist. I do not mean to post 3 replys at a time but I can't cut and paste for some reason on Wincustomize where I am posting from.

I like a good debate but will not argue about macs anymore.

By the way in the thread I did not say anything about a 1000 dollar monitor. I meant a 1000 dollar machine with a included monitor.

For my 2p worth, I think any site which allows threads and posts to be deleted by the op should not cross post to sites which do not allow that to happen.

I know in the past I've posted from either WinCustomize or Stardock and had posts deleted, something which I find extremely offensive.

For me, living in a country which has free speech, deleting posts because someone disagrees with you is just plain wrong.

Unfortunately that does mean sometimes you have to put up with the occasional prick...

It wasn't a Windows Vs Mac, or MS Vs Apple... yeah people just posted comment about how one was sooo much better than the other, and Kona, you never made a signel coherant comment on the topic. No one thought you had a single point that made sence never mind agree with.

All people did was see the topic name, and then post some arbitrary comment. And yeah the Linux guy, I was trying to get acorss the same point with not being able to compare Linux to Windows or OSX but for diffrent reasons.

No one bothered to read what I put, and why I put it on the blog in the 1st place, and just ranted off these random comments about why there fav OS is better than Windows. Every other comment required me to then reply to them trying to explain that it was a comparison to show that they are uncomparable (think thats a word), but no one ever read the replys and I was just waisting my time anyway.

But at least you can winge and cry about it in here

Your article wasn't about how the two can not be compared. Your so called facts about Macs were mostly wrong. All I did was call you on it then you go off and pull the article and blacklist me. Pretty low move. Perhaps you should reread Fuzzy Logic's post above yours.

I know a few other people who think I gave good points and defended myself well.

Oh and by the way OSX isn't my favorite OS. I use Linux. I just dislike it when people don't get the facts straight.

And yes I've had my stuff jumped on for not having facts straight. Did I delete the post or article? Nope. Did I blacklist people? Nope.

Talk to you later.

Because there is an option in the site for a blacklist? where? How?

There is over at Joeuser. Another example why forums should not cross post.

The original post was not from WC.  I believe JoeUser has that feature.

Ah ok...thanks

Now you're just attacking kona for the sake of attacking.

When you post in certain categories, you are not posting to your own little blogging world, you are going on a public forum. This means people have a reasonable right to respond or discuss any topic posted in this way.

Having a dummy spit and deleting the thread because someone doesn't agree with you is hardly a mature reaction.

If this is an example of your literacy level then I am glad you nuked the blog article.  Did you know that Linux and OS X contain spellcheckers!

Dude, you should not have deleted the post!  Never delete the evidence, it makes you guilty by default.  If Kona's arguments were so bad then what was the harm of leaving them up?  It would just make him look like an idiot.  Instead you are now the fool.  Just something to consider, nothing personal.  Us bald guys have to stick together.

my litracy skills are low becasue I suffer from a high case of Dsylexia, I didn't delete the topic I just made it private.

It was suppost to show the futility of the whole Apple Vs MS stance, but instead it just became a breading ground for the same old tired shit.

Think what you will, at the end of the day I'm just another 'gye' and ur all people I don't know. But the aim of the topic was to point out that non of the current top OS's are comparable, and that trying to compare them is futile... but that either wasn't well put by me and my lack of an english degree or wasn't read at all by people like Kona.

This is hopefuly my last comment on this pointless shit storm. If you got any other problems just snd me a msg directally.

oh, and I'm not bald... and Kona u owe me for this, I'm pretty sure  this is ur most viewed and most commented blog post on here

i actually agree with baldye's statement about the 3 main Operating Systems being so different they can't be compared. I've said that for years. Each OS has its good and bad points.

regarding the article/thread you guys are moaning and groaning about, i know nothing about it. i never go to JU anymore. i used to visit there but it seems there's more bitching there than anythign else these days. t'is the world we live in, i guess.

about the arguement you folks are enduring, have at it! i take no sides.

I don't owe you nothing. I don't blog at JU.

I disagree that the three OSes in question are not comparable. After all, they are all three operating systems. All three provide an interface between applications and hardware and all three do a pretty good job of allowing the user to organize and launch applications and documents.

Windows has separate versions for desktop and server use, and Linux is the same for both. I don't know if MacOS (or OSX, or whatever it's called) is good for servers, or has a separate version, or what...I don't do the Mac thing.  But my point is, it's the differences that make it worth comparing.  After all, how much fun is it comparing apples to apples?
