Yeah, imagine that.

Had an Apple IIe with TWO 5.25 floppies, Apple IIc for work.  Back in the day.

Can't fathom paying $3000 for a computer now, but paid about $2300 for the IIe setup if I remember correctly.  Lotta dough in ~1982.

I read up on the specs of this offering from Apple and they're quite impressive for such a small, compact unit.

Yeah, I too have a problem with Apple products, especially since the FoxConn scandal and suicide nets instead of improving employee conditions, but this unit is made wholly in the US using US labour, so perhaps it is worth investigating, given its potential.

That's OK. I'll stick with my Mac Mini, for now. The price on the Mac Pro is way beyond me.

I know this is a Windows site, but I like the best of both worlds. I use Windows (75%) for skinning and Apple (25%) for web design and testing.

Just like everything, they have their hiccups from time to time. When Windows 7 came out, I was kicking and screaming I'd never use it. Was using XP at the time. Now I'll never go back.

I also have seen a new tech demo for Tegra looks like we came to the point where mobile gaming looks awesome

Now they need to make a phone with the Phonebloks concept and we are heading into the right direction

Just spottet this today: looks like a modular PC/console that means buisness.
The only question is how the system will perform in terms of cooling.

Looks a little too much like form defining function....

....not the best 'process' in good design practise...

DO you mean the shape ? im sure there will be more like this comming soon did you took a look at my previous post Xi3 has a different shape and is much smaller but its doesnt offer so many modules. These are Just the first of many that will soon hit the market.
To the design i dont mind it that much because i like the idea to replace parts of a console way better than buying a new one.

Predominantly the difference between a laptop/tablet and a desktop PC ...
