Clearly Apple hasn't read the memo from MS that since Windows 8 Desktop PCs don't matter anymore....

Yuck on the design, and I would never buy anything made by Apple.

on Dec 19, 2013

That explains a lot.

Very nice design, looks cool and if i had money to burn, why not...

Otherwise, from what i have seen, the hardware inside is not so glorious....only 12GBs of RAM and 2 mid-tier FirePro cards... for that kind of money its terrible value IMHO. I guees, maybe if you use apps, which could use those FirePros to some OpenCL GPGPU computing, than its acceptable, but otherwise. I would take classic win7 machine with dual Titans and more RAM over it anyday, and i bet it would not be really more expensive. Put it into some pretty case like Fractal Design or LianLi and voila.

I still love my iPhone though and would still buy it over any android phone. The form factor is way more important to me in regard to phones, computers are about the function and power first and foremost.

STARTS at 3k? Holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

"The machine has six of Apple's Thunderbolt 2 ports, enabling up to 36 external devices to be attached."

Of course, because having cables and external drives lying around all over the place is so much more aesthetically pleasing.........

I would never buy any Apple product either.

Some years ago my Wife bought an Ipad to read books on the train. Worked fine for a while, then they upgraded the software for reading the books - made it incompatible with the old Ipad and made the books at the internet store incompatible with the old software!!! All to force here to buy a new Ipad,,,, ridiculous, its just text!!!

Not only did we not buy the new Ipad, we will NEVER touch the brand (Apple) ever again.

I bought an Apple IIc - complete with external drives and stuff....cost me $5.  [about what it's worth]...

At least you can trust it..... "never trust a computer you cannot throw out a window"

I like my iPad2 ok, but I like my Toshiba Excite better. Android is a better OS than iOS 7, IMO.

on Dec 20, 2013

It looks like a trash can.

on Dec 20, 2013

Since the OS changed a bit, might just pick one up...

Apple reinvents the wheel - sort of...

I think I like the round wheel better.

Apple's square wheel ain't how I roll.

on Dec 20, 2013

Gonna be a bumpy ride.
