On Shutdown of Vista I see for 5 seconds - SCHTASKS.EXE failed to initialize - then it disappears and machine shuts down. No other problems observedusing the machine. Appreciate any help in solving this Error message!!!

Recently got me a Compaq Evo 510 small form factor system. Even though it has a P4 running at 2.4 GHz and 512 MB of DDR memory and a 533 FSB this machine is slow and I'm running Windows 2000 SP4 as that is what it came with. My copy of XP came with my Dell so it stays with the Dell - will not work on other machines -OEM copy. So anyone know how to get this thing running better? I've already tweaked the BIOS settings. Everything is running on Ultra DMA mode. Thanks in advance...

Well the girlfriend decided to use some of her walls on my notebook and I had to remove them as I use different walls on my account. Anyhoo how do I remove these walls from the display properties box?

I was wondering if there is a way to change the way Windows 7 shows the My Document folder. Last time I had Windows 7 I do not recall the system showing the "Includes 2 Locations" part. Is there a way to get rid of that?  

I am using Windows 7 64 bit. Today I noticed that the pop up preview is not working. I mouse over any program in the taskbar and nothing pops up. The only thing I have changed recently was installing updates and the new Nvidia driver. I checked the properties of the taskbar and everything is just the same as it was.  It's just not working. Any ideas on how to fix?

Well I had an urge to play Final Fantasy 7. I have the PC version. It played just fine when I was running Windows XP. So I try to play it a few days ago. Even with all the compatibility items checked and employed the pogram will not play. So I google it and find out many people have this same issue. That's to be understood as it's a game made for Windows 95. So I install Virtualbox and Windows XP within a virtual PC. I install FF7 yet it will still not play. Anyone know how to get old game...

Seems I have a problem here. I have a Biostar Tforce4 U motherboard. For some reason this board really does not play nice with the Nforce4 drivers. By that I mean if i try to burn a CD or DVD using Nero it will not work. The DVD Burner is on SATA. The hard drive is IDE. However if I switch back to regular Windows XP drivers than the disk will burn. Top that off with the system will reboot itself from time to time due to an error. Is Windows Update working for everyone or is the site down? I keep getting errors when I try to get updates over a Wi-Fi connection. Newly installed XP SP2. Windows firewall is off. I'm getting this error code: 0x80072EFE. Wi-Fi is the only way his notebook can connect. No LAN or Modem ports. Thanks.

Due to the fact that some of my favorite extensions will not work on Firefox 10 I am still using Firefox 3.6.26. Just curious if it's normal for a computer running Windows 7 Home Premium to keep accessing the hard drive every other second. My HDD LED light lights up every other second, the hard drive never seems to rest. No unusual background programs running, I have my auto-defrag programs and A/V scans turned off. Just wondering if I should be worried. Thanks!
