Every time I install Windows it runs very smooth until I install .NET framework or .NET updates. What is .NET and can I live without it?
Looking for a working driver for the Belkin FD71101 wireless USB network card. Windows 8 does not recognize the card, and Belkin does not supply a driver for Windows 8.
Well looks like one of my memory sticks went bad so I am down to one gig of system memory. Decided to reinstall Windows XP. I know it has a end of life coming up, but it will work for now. Just got out of the hospital so I'm a bit tired. Turns out I have diabetes.
New Mac Pro. Interesting design. http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/18/tech/gaming-gadgets/apple-mac-pro-sale/index.html?sr=fb121813applemacpro11p
So I have three videos here. They were .AVI files. I have a nifty program that encodes them to VOB files. Now I have an issues. What program do I use to burn them to DVD? I want a simple program that will allow me to burn them so when I put the disc in my home DVD player a menu will pop up and let me choose one of the three videos and be able to play them. Any ideas?
So I have noticed that this computer I am fixing for a friend works better if I don't install any updates. So my question is do I really need to update the machine? As long as I use a good anti virus solution shouldn't I be OK?
OK, working on a family members computer here. It is a SFF eMachines model EL1210-09. It has a socket AM2 motherboard. The current CPU is single core, I was wanting to upgrade to dual core. The issue is it has to be 45W TDP or less. What CPU would you recommend?
Would it make my friends system run any faster? It have Windows 7 on it right now with just about everything turned off or disabled and it still acts like a dinosaur. Keep in mind this is on a fresh install of 7, no malware or viruses. I think the CPU is to blame here. Web pages take forever to load, programs take forever to execute. System in question: AMD E1-1200 Dual Core APU with Radeon 7130 graphics, 1.4 GHz 4 GB DDR3 memory 320 GB hard drive
Thought I would ask about a few issues I had with a laptop I am working with. This notebook is always hot to the touch around the left palm rest. Just warm I guess, not blazing hot. CPU is located under the keyboard towards the top on the left side. The CPU is a Intel Core i3 dual core CPU with hyper threading, 2.4 GHz and speedstep. I have a program that monitors the CPU temp. It runs around 126F when idle. If I open over 4 tabs in Google Chrome then run a few other ...
Anyone heard from Starkers? How about DoorTech? I was wanting to talk to both of them.
Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted in a bit, I've been busy working. The computer we all built is running great, it got a newer video card the other day. Fan on the PSU is acting up. Any how, I was wondering if there is a simple little program to display the weather temp in degrees that will sit next to my clock in the taskbar. Thanks!
I'll admit I have been a long time Firefox user. However I have noticed lately that Firefox has become more and more bloated and still has a memory leak. There are even sites I visit that Firefox will not work correctly. Wincustomize is one, Facebook is another. On Firefox, Wincustomize takes forever to load. On Chrome, a matter of seconds. On Firefox, I have issues when scrolling down my news feed on Facebook. Firefox just freezes up. I thought newer hardware would fix that, but n...
So a friend of mine asked me this question: "I took some video with my camcorder and was able to down load it to a dvd+R also was able to load it to a 4gig stick when I tried to play the dvd on my dvd player that is hooked up to my TV it will not play however, it will play in my computer so I suspect it needs to be finalized." So how would I make him a DVD of his video that will play on his DVD player?
Just as many here have thought. http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2013/04/11/windows-8-blamed-for-biggest-pc-shipment-plunge-ever/?intcmp=features
