So after a new install of Windows 7 and the newest version of Flash I have noticed the games I play on Facebook run really slow. My GPU, Radeon 6320M, is built into the CPU. I was curious what can be done to make Flash games run faster. I have the processor set to run at full speed when plugged in, and I have 4 GB of DDR3 at my disposal, so what else can be done? I should also mention I am using Firefox version 3.6.28. Would upgrading to Firefox 11 help any?

OK, brand new laptop.. Sold the desktop to get it. Anyhow, every now and then, a line appears across the screen near the top, like a flicker. Sometimes it happens in the middle. What would cause this? Should I be concerned? Driver issue? Here is a video of problem. Near the end you will see what I am talking about, at the top of the screen. I have installed different drivers. I'll see if that helps. http://youtu.be/rolahwZN25U

Has anyone ever used the Waterfox browser? If so, your thoughts? Better than Firefox or Palemoon?

So does anyone know of a program that will scan my PC and tell me what drivers need to be updated? Looking for a low cost or freeware solution. Also my computer takes forever to boot. It's just a few days old. I've gone into MSCONFIG and turned off all of the useless things that I don't need turning on when I boot up. I've also disabled anything that auto-updates. Yet the notebook takes almost a minute and a half to boot. Can this be due to my low end Celeron B800 1.5 GHz dual...

Just curious. I recently picked up a system with a 1 TB Western Digital hard drive. This drive puts out a decent amount of heat. Is that normal?

So I have a widescreen monitor. How can I get the video card to play my games in non-widescreen mode?

Anyone out there running an Android based tablet? I had a question. We have one here at the house. Tried to connect to the Android app store and it required me to add my Gmail account. So I did. Yet I get a "Could not establish a secure connection" message when trying to log in. Any ideas as to a fix?

Not really computing related. Just thought I would ask. How long is the life expectancy of an LCD TV? Especially if left on most hours of the day?

Due to the fact that some of my favorite extensions will not work on Firefox 10 I am still using Firefox 3.6.26. I've noticed that Firefox is getting slower and slower and I need help figuring out why. It can't be my computer as it has more than enough RAM at 2 GB of DDR3. Perhaps it is a memory leak or a rogue extension? I am running the following extensions:   AdBlock Plus Element Hiding Helper For AdBlock Plus Facebook Zoom IE Tab V2 Is It Compatible? Java...

Just curious if it's normal for a computer running Windows 7 Home Premium to keep accessing the hard drive every other second. My HDD LED light lights up every other second, the hard drive never seems to rest. No unusual background programs running, I have my auto-defrag programs and A/V scans turned off. Just wondering if I should be worried. Thanks!

I'm fixing my girlfriend's notebook. It's a Gateway 4025. It has an Intel PRO Wireless 2200BG wireless card. It connects to a D-Link DIR-615 router. Both have the latest drivers and firmware. The Gateway runs Windows XP SP3 with all updates. Yet the notebook drops the connection almost every 5 minutes. Is there a way to solve this besides switching to Linux?

I am currently using Wordpress. I was curious what others are using and if Blogspot is a bit easier to use.

I currently have my computer set to turn the display off after 2 minutes. I notice when I come back to use the computer the display is comes on but is not as bright as it should be for a few seconds. Am I hurting the display or should I use the blank screen screensaver? The screen is an LCD display with LED providing the backlight.

I was curious if anyone knew of any software that will allow me to select a bunch of photos and rename them all in one operation. I want to rename a bunch of photos by number but don't want to do it one by one. Too time consuming.

Microsoft has unveiled a website aimed at raising awareness of browser security by comparing the ability of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome to withstand attacks from malware, phishing, and other types of threats. It looks like this site gives any browser besides IE bad marks. Looks like all MS is trying to do is spread FUD around about other browsers. http://yourbrowsermatters.org/
